WPVI-TV/6-ABC's Cecily Tynan bears her belly-button and its ring on the cover of "Runner's World."

The new weatherman on Fox-Philadelphia's "Ten O'Clock News" is a familiar face. Weekend weather anchor Rob Guarino has been named the weekday weather anchor, taking over for Frank Cariello, whose contract was not renewed.

"This is a great opportunity for both the station and Rob," said Fox-Philadelphia Vice President and General Manager Roger LaMay. "He's not only knowledgeable about weather but he will bring enthusiasm to community events."

Guarino, who began at Fox-Philadelphia in 1996, has been nominated for four Emmy awards, winning the Mid-Atlantic Emmy for the 1996-97 season. A University of Delaware graduate, Guarino previously worked in Indianapolis and Syracuse. He currently lives in South Jersey with his wife, Dina and daughter, Mia.

Until Fox-Philadelphia names a permanent weekend weather anchor, "Good Day Philadelphia's" Sue Serio and Guarino will alternate Saturdays and Sundays.

Speaking of weather watchers, WPVI-TV/6-ABC's Cecily Tynan is the cover girl for the February issue of "Runner's World" magazine. Tynan, a serious runner, and one of the most popular personalities on "Action News," got approval from news director Carla Carpenter before posing for the cover shot in which she is wearing a belly-button ring.

KYW-3 is providing 30-second news updates anchored by Pat Ciarrocchi, Ukee Washington and Amy Caples for its sister station UPN-57 weekdays between 9 and 11 a.m. and 1 and 2 p.m. Late last year, KYW-3 started doing weather updates in primetime for UPN. (What's next, Dave Frankel on "Moesha"?) According to KYW-3 sources, there are no plans for a full newscast on UPN-57.

Patti LaBelle narrates the special "Black Philadelphia Memories" on WHYY-TVFeb. 1 at 10:30pm. The Uptown Theatre, the election of the city's first black mayor, W. Wilson Goode, and more are explored.
