There will be no more Wine time on WTXF, as veteran movie reviewer Bill Wine has been released after a dozen years at the station. Wine's final appearance on "Good Day Philadelphia" will be Aug. 15.

Vice president and general manager of WTXF, Roger LaMay said that the morning show was going in a new direction and they won't hire a new movie critic. Wine, a tenured professor at LaSalle University, will continue his reviews on KYW 1060-AM three days a week.

Without a no-compete clause in his contract, he is free to immediately work for another station. However, the problem is that none of the local stations do regular movie reviews. Wine did not whine about his departure stating he had a good run at the station and is not taking it personally. Also, the entertainment reports "Mollywood in Hollywood" with Molly Mayock will be discontinued next month.

Don't be surprised if co-host Mike Jerrick is the next one to leave the show. Rumors continue to circulate that Jerrick is on the way out.
