According to newsroom sources, Fox29 “Good Day Philadelphia” reporter Nick Smith is no longer with the station.  Sources say he was escorted out of the Fox building on 4^th and Market in Philadelphia Friday following a verbal confrontation after he was unable to come to terms on a contract extension with the station. 

Station spokesperson Jennifer Best confirmed that Smith was no longer with the station, but would not comment any further.  

Smith, who joined Fox29 from the Raleigh, NC ABC afffiliate in January 2005, got into trouble with station management a couple of years ago, when he allegedly insulted the wife of a station employee at the 2005 Fox29 holiday party.
