Notes

Bob Barker’s final episode of “The Price is Right” airs Friday.  The guy was flawless.  I wish CBS could talk him into doing one more year.   Expect Bob to clean up at the “Daytime Emmy Awards” that night.

CBS3’s “Alex Scott Phone Bank” raised more than $700,000 for pediatric cancer research Thursday.

Rachel Etemad, a senior at Villa Joseph Marie High School in Holland, PA was named one of the ten outstanding students to graduate from the KYW Newsradio Newstudies Program.

Former Fox29 weekend weather meteorologist Karen Thomas was hired as a fill-in weather person for NBC10.  The station is still looking for a full-time person to replace Amy Freeze.  Maybe NBC10 read our column back in March suggesting Thomas for the weather vacancy.

NBC10’s new shore traffic reporter is Candace Cook.  She arrives from WRBL in Columbus, Georgia.

Jared Cohen, 25, of Narberth, Pennsylvania will appear on tomorrow's (Wednesday) episode of "JEOPARDY!" at 7 p.m. on 6ABC.  Cohen is a finance undergraduate at Penn State University.
