Like the NCAA basketball tournament, there were a few upsets in the first round of our “Television Field of 64,” as underdogs The Daily Show, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Supernanny, Boston Legal, Good Morning America, The Today Show, and Beauty & the Geek won over their higher seeded opponents.

There were two ties in the Comedy bracket,  (8) Jimmy Kimmel vs. (9) The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and (3) The Office vs. (14) Two and a Half Men.  In both cases, the higher seed wins the tie-breaker and moves to the next round.
